Slatband Conveyors

We have designed a large number of slatband conveyors using both stainless steel and plastic chains for the dairy and ice cream industries, where hygiene requirements are very demanding.

Conveyor configurations have included straight, curved and merging sections and some of our conveyors have been located in freezers.

The chains are carried in plastic tracks, mounted in fully welded stainless steel frames. Bearing units can incorporate white plastic housings, fitted with stainless steel bearing inserts. Drive is usually from shaft mounted geared motors.

Most conveyors are bolted into place, but we have built some that are mounted on fully lockable stainless steel castors to allow for flexibility in factory layout, where different product lines require different conveyor arrangements.
